CSM Edwards is a native of Columbus, Georgia. He entered the Active Army component in August 1995. He successfully completed Basic Training and Advance Individual Training at Fort Sill, OK and awarded the Military Occupation Specialty 13F, Forward Observer Field Artillery.

CSM Edwards’ most recent previous positions and assignments include: Battalion CSM 4th Battalion 319th AFAR, 173rd IBCT (ABN); OPS SGM 2nd Battalion 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment OPS 82D ABN DIV; Joint Fires Cell OPS SGM 82D ABN DIV; G5 OPS SGM 82D DIV; Senior Military Instructor Morgan State University; First Sergeant HHB & Bravo 1st Battalion 319th AFAR 82D ABN DIV; BN OPS NCOIC 1st 319th AFAR 82D ABN DIV.

CSM Edwards has been deployed six times in support of combat operations all with the 82D ABN DIV.

His military schools include successfully completion of: USASMA NRC Class 39; BN CSM Development Course 82D ABN DIV Jumpmaster Course; Advance Field Artillery Tactical Data System, Senior Leaders Course, Advance Leaders Course, Basic Leaders Course, and the United States Army Airborne School.

His awards include: MUC (3 OLC), BSM (4 OLC), MSM (4 OLC), ARCOM (5 OLC), AAM (1 SOL, 3 OLC, 1RBN), NCOPD Ribbon (Numeral 4), Combat Action Badge, Coveted Master Parachutist Badge, Honorable member of Panther BCT 82D ABN DIV and the “Order of Saint Barbara Medal”. CSM Edwards has a B.S in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Homeland Security from Troy University and completing his M.S.C in Organizational Leadership.
