Fort Irwin Army School Liaison Services welcomes you to the Fort Irwin community!

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the School Liaison Officer here on post. My job is to ensure that information is provided to you, the parents, regarding school information such as academics, activities, district wide events etc. I am also here to assist you with any questions, comments or concerns you might have about our schools. If I don’t know the answer, I will find it for you! Scholarship information is also available through me for undergraduate, graduate, continuing and adult education. The School Liaison Officer also writes a weekly column in Fort Irwin’s newspaper, The High Desert Warrior, which provides parents and students with valuable academic information to assist them during the school year.

Fort Irwin’s main school district is the Silver Valley Unified School District (SVUSD) which currently has three schools, Lewis Elementary, Tiefort View Intermediate and Fort Irwin Middle School located on post, and the Silver Valley High School located 35 miles off post in Yermo.  The website for SVUSD is http://www.silvervalley.k12.ca.us . The Barstow Unified School District is also associated with Fort Irwin, but there is no bus transportation to their schools. The Colin L. Powell State Preschool, which is run by the San Bernardino County School System, is located on post as well.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions you might have. I can be reached at my office, located in building 1300 across from the Youth Center on Muese-Argonne Street; by telephone 760-380-6880 or through email: jennifer.quaye@us.army.mil
