Our Mission is to:

• Ensure availability of predictable programs and services for children ages 6 weeks through 18 years old.
• Establish and maintain CYS program quality as a benchmark for the nation in accordance with statutory requirements, DoD policy, and Army Standards.
• Enhance the development of children and youth.
• Maintain affordable child and youth programs and services for both the Army and parents.

There is no registration fee for the CYS-Middle School Program.  The CYS-Middle School after school program offers fun, educational, and interactive after school alternatives. The Teen Center is a unique facility for Ft. Irwin teens. Teens participate in the development of teen programming and activities offered at the Teen Center through participation in the Boys & Girls Club of America's Keystone Club.  The Teen Center offers many exciting opportunities to visit Southern California fun spots and adventure parks.  A computer and homework lab occupies a big portion of the teen center where teens are able to broaden their academic needs. Specialized classes are offered to help teen prepare for higher education or employment possibilities. It is "their" special place and is a newer facility designed by teens. 

• A Homework Specialist assists children with their homework and other academic projects. A mini-library with reference materials, Accelerated Reader reading materials, and school subject textbooks are also available.
• A Computer Specialist is there to teach children about the computer and 8 computers with internet access helps children research materials for reports, homework, and study. 25 Recreational software programs are also available for the students to use.
• Entertainment – foosball, pool table, air hockey, and 53” TV with VCR and Nintendo. Children are also taken outside to play soccer, football, basketball, etc.
• Snacks: healthy snacks are provided free of charge.
• Activities: Photography, Arts & Crafts, Graphic Arts, Web Page Design, Media Center, Cooking, Gardening.
• Clubs: Boys & Girls Club of America, 4-H Club, Torch Club, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts.
• Monthly Weekend Excursions – Disneyland, SeaWorld, Ontario Mills, and other exciting adventures. There is an additional cost for weekend excursions (transportation and entrance fees included in a low fee per trip).
