    Residential Communities Initiatives (RCI)

RCI Mission:  Eliminate inadequate housing within California Military Communities (Irwin, Parks, Moffett) by creating world class quality residential communities, neighborhoods and amenities for Soldiers and Families.

RCI Vision:  Represent the USAG as the Army partner by providing first class customer service and relocation assistance to all Soldiers, Civilians, and Families and provide oversight for the continuous improvements to residential housing, neighborhoods and amenities with commitment to providing a strong support environment in which they can thrive.

The housing office at Fort Irwin is located in the Sandy Basin Community Center, BLDG 4553 Tippecanoe, Fort Irwin, CA 92310.  Customer Hours: 0700-1600

The Villages at Fort Irwin offers one, two, three, and four bedroom homes to families and senior unaccompanied personnel stationed at Fort Irwin. Owned and operated by California Military Communities LLC, a joint venture between Clark, Pinnacle, and the U.S. Army, the Villages at Fort Irwin has been undergoing construction and renovation since 2004. Over 700 new homes designed specifically for Army family life, renovated homes featuring EnergyStar appliances and upgraded kitchens, and new amenities including a 25,000 SF Community Center with resort-style pool and Splash Park make this self-contained community an exceptional place to call home.

Town Center Terrace

Single Soldiers E5 and below are housed in unit Barracks managed by the Single Soldier Housing Office.  Single Soldiers E6 and above may reside in the Town Center Terrace (TCT) suites on post or find off post housing with help from the Fort Irwin Housing Services Office.  Rent for a TCT suite is equal to a Soldier’s without dependant BAH rate.

*TCTs include a stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, and stackable washer/dryer.

The application documents required to be placed on the TCT waitlist are the same as the family housing documents listed above with the exception of a DD1172 (DEERS From).

Geographical Bachelor’s E6 and above may apply to be placed on the TCT waitlist; however priority is given to bonafide bachelors.  The rent is still based on the Soldier's BAH without dependant rate.

The RCI Housing Service Office (Building 4533 Tippecanoe) has numerous listings for housing in the local commuting areas.  Please stop by and consult with the RCI staff if you are looking for housing in the local commuting area.
