Meetings: 2nd and 4th Wednesdays, Sept through May, 9:00 to 11:00 am at Center Chapel
MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers and exists to meet the needs of every mom - moms with different lifestyles who all share a similar desire to be the very best moms they can be! MOPS recognizes that the years from infancy through kindergarten are foundational in a mother-child relationship and are filled with unique needs.
MOPS helps moms through relationships established in the context of local groups that provide a caring atmosphere for today's mother of young children.
In order to attain this vision for moms who are either in the military themselves, or have a spouse in the military, MOPS International has developed the Military MOPS program. A Military MOPS group is much like a Classic MOPS group, except that it is chartered, or sponsored, by a base chapel, either domestic or international. Because of the unique situations that Military MOPS groups face by being on a military base, MOPS International has designed this program with a great deal of flexibility.
Fort Irwin MOPS group meets twice a month on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays, September through May, from 9:00 to 11:00 am. Childcare is provided through the MOPPETS program and the chapel’s Watchcare program. A typical meeting includes time for developing relationships through teaching, discussion groups, creative activities and fellowship time over a shared meal or snack.
