CSM Maurice Jackson 
is a native of Birmingham, Alabama and enlisted in the Army in August 1987. He received his Basic and Advanced Individual Training as in Infantryman at Fort Benning, GA. After the completion of Basic and Advanced Individual Training, CSM Jackson served with 1st Battalion, 9th Infantry (Manchu's), 7th Infantry Division at Fort Ord, CA; 2nd Battalion, 7th Infantry, 24th Infantry Division at Fort Stewart, GA where he deployed to Desert Shield/Storm; 3rd Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, 1st AD at Baumholder, Germany; Henry Caro Noncommissioned Officer Academy (BNCOC) as a Small Group Leader at Fort Benning, GA; 2nd Battalion, 19th Infantry Brigade at Fort Benning, GA as a Senior Drill Sergeant; 1st Battalion, 6th Infantry Regiment, 1st AD at Baumholder, Germany whom he deployed with to OIF I, 2nd Battalion, 58th Infantry Regiment at Fort Benning, GA; Sergeants Major Academy at Fort Bliss, TX; 4th Squadron, 2nd Stryker Cavalry Regiment at Vilseck, Germany whom he deployed with to OIF VII, 4th Battalion, 3rd Infantry Regiment at Fort Myer, VA as the Battalion CSM, and 3rd Battalion, 4th Infantry Regiment at Baumholder, Germany whom he deployed with to OEF XI as the Battalion CSM.

CSM Jackson has attended numerous military schools and training courses to include Bradley Master Gunner Course, Drill Sergeant School, Airborne School, Pathfinder School, Battle Staff Course, First Sergeant Course, Master Fitness Course, and the Basic Instructor Course.

CSM Jackson is a graduate of the Primary Leadership Development Course, Basic and Advance Noncommissioned Officer Course, and the United States Sergeants Major Academy, Class 57. He obtained a Bachelors of Science Degree in Administration from Excelsior College, NY on 13 May 2007.

CSM Jackson's awards and decorations include Bronze Star Medal with 3 OLC, Meritorious Service Medal with 4 OLC, Army Commendation Medal with 4 OLC, Army Achievement Medal with 1 Silver leaf and 3 OLC, Good Conduct Medal (7th award), National Defense Medal with 2 bronze service star, South Asia Service Medal with 3 bronze service stars, Kosovo Campaign Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal with 2 bronze stars, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon with numeral 4, Army Service Ribbon, 2 Combat Infantryman Badges, Expert Infantryman Badge, Basic Airborne Badge, Pathfinder Badge, Drill Sergeant Badge, and St. Maurice Medal.

CSM Jackson is married to the former Candace Mitchell of Columbus, GA. They have two daughters and a son; Briana, Kennedy and Roman.

CSM Jackson assumed duties as the Operations Group CSM on 28 February 2012.
