CSM Albert A. Rodriguez Jr 
2916th Battalion CSM 

CSM Albert A. Rodriguez, Jr., a native of Oxnard, California, enlisted in the United States Army on 2 October 1992, attended Basic Training and trained as an Administrative Specialist, 71L at Fort Jackson, South Carolina.  He reclassified in April 1997 and completed the Aviation Operations Specialist Course, 15P at Fort Rucker, Alabama.

CSM Rodriguez has served as a Squad Leader, Platoon Sergeant and First Sergeant.  He also served as an Aviation Brigade Operations Sergeant, Battalion Operations Sergeant, Flight Operations NCOIC, Personnel Staff NCO and as the U.S. Army Flight Information Publications (FLIP) account manager. 

His stateside duty locations include: Headquarters, 4th Combat Aviation Brigade, and the 4th Battalion, 4th Aviation Regiment (ARB), Fort Hood, Texas; 4th Squadron, 2nd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Polk, Louisiana; U.S Army Air Ambulance Detachment and NTC Aviation Company, Fort Irwin, California; 1st Battalion, 11th Aviation Regiment, Fort Rucker, Alabama, and the U.S. Army Aeronautical Services Agency, Fort Belvoir, Virginia.  His overseas duty locations include: Headquarters, 4th Brigade, 1st Armored Division, and the 1st Battalion, 501st Aviation Regiment (Attack), Hanau, Germany and the U.S. Army Cold Regions Test Center, Fort Greely, Alaska.  He has deployed twice to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.   

CSM Rodriguez’s military education includes the Warrior Leader Course, Advance Leader Course, Senior Leader Course, Battle Staff NCO Course, Unit Movement Officer Course, Supervisor Development Course, Postal Supervisor Course, Mobile Retention Training Course, and the Master Resiliency Trainer Course.  He is a graduate of the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy Class 64.
His awards and decorations include: the Bronze Star Medal (2nd Award), Meritorious Service Medal (3rd Award), Army Commendation Medal (6th Award), Army Achievement Medal (7th Award), Army Good Conduct Medal (7th Award), National Defense Service Ribbon, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon (Numeral 4), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Army Meritorious Unit Commendation, Army Superior Unit Award, the Master Aviation Badge and the Drivers Badge.
