Virtual Family Readiness Group (vFRG)

Army FRG - The Virtual Family Readiness Group (vFRG) web system provides all of the functionality of a traditional FRG in an ad-hoc and on-line setting to meet the needs of geographically dispersed units and families across all components of the Army.

NTC Community Calendar - Provides up to date information of unit activities going on at Fort Irwin. Helps in the planning and coordination of family activities.

MyArmyLifeToo (MALT) - MALT is a Web site that highlights programs and services of the Army Community Service, Army National Guard, and Army Reserve Family Programs. Information on the site is provided in language natural to Family members as opposed to Army terms, acronyms, and program names.

Military One Source - The Defense Department has established a "one stop" place to go whenever service members or family members need assistance with any kind of problem.

Fort Irwin Army Community Service - "ACS will assist commanders in maintaining readiness of individuals, families, and communities within America's Army by developing, coordination, and delivering services which promote self-reliance, resiliency, and stability during war and peace."

American Red Cross Military Services - Provides Emergency Communications Services to keep military personnel in touch with their families following death or serious illness of a family member or other important events, such as birth of a child. The Red Cross sends messages quickly, anywhere in the world, including ships at sea, embassies and to isolated war and peace. Fort Irwin's Red Cross Station website.

Army Family Team Building (AFTB) - Army Family Team Building is a volunteer-led organization with a central tenet: provide training and knowledge to spouses and family members to support the total Army effort.

Army Well-Being - An excellent resource for links and information provided as resources to Army leaders, Soldiers, civilians, retirees, veterans and family members.

DEERS - DEERS is the system by which the Army keeps track of all military dependents. It is extremely important to maintain your DEERS enrollment to ensure that you remain eligible for military spouse and dependents benefits.

AUSA Family Programs - Provides resources regarding current legislation affecting military families and information about family programs offered by the military.

National Military Family Association (NMFA) - NMFA provides resources and support to spouses and children of Air Force, Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, NOAA and PHS.

Army Emergency Relief (AER) - AER is the Army's own emergency financial assistance organization and is dedicated to "Helping the Army Take Care of Its Own." AER provides commanders a valuable asset in accomplishing their basic command responsibility for the morale and welfare of soldiers.

U.S. State Department Passport Services - Make sure you have a valid passport if you would like to travel outside the U.S. This site can help you with office locations, schedules, appointments, requirements, and regulations.

Anti-Terrorism Awareness Training - Soldiers and dependent Family Members who wish to travel outside of the continental United States are required to complete this anti-terrorism training. If you are going on vacation or even meeting your spouse overseas on R&R, you need to complete this training before you go. Don't forget to print out the certificate at the end!
