CSM Michael A. Mosites was born in Omaha, Nebraska and entered the Army on 5 MAY 1986. He attended One Station Unit Training at Fort Knox, Kentucky and graduated as a 19E Armor Crewman. CSM Mosites has served in several units including the 4th Infantry Division, 8th Infantry Division, 24th Infantry Division, 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment, Operations Group Ft Irwin California, the 1st Armored Division, NATO Training Mission Afghanistan, and Operations SGM for 4-1 HBCT, and with 1-4 CAV both at FT Riley. His previous assignment was the Command Sergeant Major for the 2nd Squadron 13th Cavalry Regiment at FT Bliss, Texas.

CSM Mosites’ military education includes all levels of the Noncommissioned Officer Education System, the M1/M1A1 Tank Transition Course, First Sergeant Course; Maneuver Control Course, the Equal Opportunity Leaders Course, Observer Controllers Course and is a graduate of the United States Sergeant Major Academy Class 58.

CSM Mosites’ awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal (3rd OLC), the Meritorious Service Medal (3rd OLC), the Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Army Commendation Medal with V device, the Army Commendation Medal (10th OLC), the Army Achievement Medal (9th OLC), the Army Good Conduct Medal (9th Award), the National Defense Service Medal (2nd Award), the Army Service Ribbon, the Overseas Service Ribbon (numeral 5), the Non Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (numeral 4), Southwest Asia Ribbon (3 Battle Stars), the Iraq Campaign Medal, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal (2 Battle Stars) the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, the Saudi Arabia Kuwait Liberation Medal, the Kuwait Liberation Medal, the NATO Article 5 Medal, the Presidential Unit Citation, the Meritorious Unit Citation, the Joint Meritorious Unit Citation, and the Combat Action Badge

CSM Mosites is a recipient of the Order of Saint George (Bronze Medallion) as well as a member of the SGT Morales Club. CSM Mosites is currently enrolled with Excelsior College where he is pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts.
