India Troop, 1st Squadron, 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment, "KRAZY HORSE," is organized as an Air Defense Troop with three Short Range Air Defense Platoons, a Radar Section, a Maintenance Section and a Headquarters Section with a total authorized strength of 107 Soldiers, NCOs and Officers.


Krazy Horse Troop fulfills two missions.  The first mission is to execute Rotational Operations at NTC and other locations to prepare Army Brigade Combat Teams s and sister service units for combat.  For this mission, the Troop conducts a myriad of rotational support tasks to include: populating towns in the training area with civilians on the battlefield, replicating National Army’s, and conducting insurgent operations against Army BCTs.


Krazy Horse Troop's second mission is to deploy to designated areas worldwide and execute decisive combat operations to defeat enemy conventional and insurgent forces.  For this mission, the Troop trains and prepares for war as an Air Defense Artillery Troop as well as a Motorized Infantry Troop with a full range of individual and collective training focused on preparing it's Air Defenders for the War on Terror.
