A native of South Carolina, Mr. Taylor attended Presbyterian College Clinton, South Carolina on a four year ROTC scholarship earning Distinguished Military Graduate and a Regular Army commission upon graduation with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He earned a Masters of Business Administration from the Maxwell School of Business, Syracuse University, where he also graduated from the Army Comptrollership Program. He is a graduate of the Infantry Officer Basic Course, Quartermaster Officer Advanced Course, Command and General Staff College and the Industrial College of the Armed Forces.
Mr. Taylor’s awards and decorations include Legion of Merit, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (fourth award), Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal (second award), Southwest Asia Service Medal with one Bronze Service Star, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (second award), and the Expert Infantryman Badge (EIB). He is a member of Association of the United States Army, Military Officers Association, Blackhorse Association, Society of Military Comptrollers, The Association of Quartermasters. He is recognized with presentation of the Distinguished Order of St. Martin and the Order of St. George.
