LTC William B Garber III

Lieutenant Colonel William B. Garber III was born in Gainesville, Florida and grew up in a military family, the son of a career Army Officer. In 1994 he received a bachelor's degree in International Business from James Madison University in Virginia and a master's degree in Management and Leadership from Webster University.
His military assignments include: 3-101st Attack Battalion, Fort Campbell, Kentucky where he served as an Attack Platoon Leader, 3/5 Platoon Leader and Logistics Officer. His next assignment was in 1/2 Attack and 1/6 Cavalry in Korea, where he served as a Battalion Logistics Officer and Company Commander. Following Korea, LTC Garber served in the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (SOAR) at Fort Campbell Kentucky as an Adjutant, MH-60 Direct Action Penetrator Platoon Leader, Operations Officer and Executive Officer. Following his assignment with the 160th SOAR, LTC Garber served as a Special Programs Officer (J3X) with the United States Army Special Operations Aviation Command at Fort Bragg, NC. His last assignment was with the Joint Special Operations Command as a Joint Air Operations Center Commander and Deputy Director of Operations.
His military education includes: Aviation Officer Basic Course, the Aviation Officer Advanced Course, Special Operations Aviation Training Course; AH-64, MH-60, MH-6 and UH-72 Aircraft Qualification Courses and the Command and General Staff College.
LTC Garber's awards and decorations include: the Bronze Star Medal; the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal; the Air Medal, the Army Commendation and Achievement Medals; the Combat Action Badge, the Senior Aviator Badge; Air Assault and Airborne Badges.
