Mission
Workforce Development is the front line advisors to leadership regarding shaping and development of the workforce we provide innovative and effective training and development solutions for our customers. These solutions encompass the full spectrum of human resources and organizational development strategies. We have the responsibility to:
1. Continuously improve Workforce Development capabilities to develop, instruct, and facilitate training in subject areas supporting Fort Irwin’s organizations.
2. Provide expert guidance on training and organizational development policy, procedures, and systems.
Workforce Development is critically important to the accomplishment of the IMA mission and is one of the essential pillars of the IMA philosophy. The installation is committed to the leader and technical development, and professional growth of all civilian employees and military personnel. Leaders throughout IMCOM will ensure the workforce is trained, educated, and provided the knowledge and skills needed to execute their respective responsibilities and missions:

Transformation of the Army begins with educating the Army’s leaders. The Civilian Education System (CES) is a new progressive and sequential leader development program that provides enhanced leader development and education opportunities for Army civilians throughout their careers.
